Michelle's Approach
Michelle's clinical practice focuses on assessment and medication management of mental health conditions commonly experienced by women, such as mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum depression, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, infertility and loss, birth trauma, OCD, and menopausal mood changes.
Drawing from her psychiatric and women’s health expertise, Michelle understands the profound impact that pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, breastfeeding and midlife experiences can have on a woman's mental health. She recognizes the unique challenges faced by women during these critical phases and tailors her approach to providing holistic care that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of women's health.
She employs evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients.
Michelle is known for her warm and empathetic approach, making her patients feel comfortable, supported, and heard. She creates a safe space for women to share their concerns, struggles, and aspirations, empowering them to actively participate in their own mental health journey.
Beyond her clinical work, Michelle regularly participates in conferences, workshops, and teaching opportunities, sharing her knowledge and expertise with fellow healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public. Michelle firmly believes in the power of education and awareness to reduce stigma and promote better mental health outcomes for women.
